Abstract

Extracurricular activities at school are one of the important factors in developing students' abilities outside of academic activities. So far, the extracurricular registration and selection process at SMPN 1 Ulususua is still done manually. Such as distributing forms to each student and then collecting them to the class leader, and this is considered less effective so that the extracurricular activity selection process does not run optimally, because the school does not know whether the student is interested and talented in the extracurricular activities he chooses. So that researchers built a decision support system for selecting extracurricular activities using the Web-based Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method at SMPN 1 Ulususua. This Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) method decision support system can help students and teachers in choosing extracurricular activities that are in accordance with predetermined criteria and this system can increase efficiency in the process of selecting extracurricular activities at SMPN 1 Ulususua. The SMART method is a multi-criteria decision-making technique based on the theory that each alternative consists of a number of criteria that have values and each criterion has a weight that describes how important it is compared to other criteria. This research implements Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique (SMART) into a web-based decision support system. The program design uses PHP programming language and uses MySQL database.
